Christina Marie Aguilera seems to be one of those singers born to perform. Gifted with an amazing multi-octave voice that can fill a room Christina has been entertaining millions from a very young age


Aguilera was born in New York.
 Christina lived with her father and mother until she was seven years old.
Agulera has Spanish, German, French & Dutch ancestry and learned to speak and sing in Spanish. (can you believe that…?!)


Unfortunately, her parents divorced at age seven, her mother moved her and her sister rachel to her grandmother’s home in Rochester, Pennsylvania.

Christina had a very difficult childhood due to having a controlling and abusive father
Her first national public appearance was appearing on Star Search in 1990 at the age of 10. Christina did extremely well but come in second.  Her talent was noticed by Pittsburgh’s sports teams like the Pirates, Steelers and Penguins and sang the American “The Star-Spangled Banner” before many games.

At the age of fourteen, Aguilera recorded her first song, “All I Wanna Do”, a hit duet with Japanese singer Keizo Nakanis
1998 was a great year for Christina Aguilera because her song recording “Reflection” on the Mulan soundtrack lead to a new contract with RCA Records.


Aguilera’s self-titled debut album Christina Aguilera was released on August 24, 1999. It reached the top of the Billboard 200 and Canadian album charts, selling eight million copies in the U.S. and over seventeen million copies worldwide.
The album is also included in the Top 100 Albums of All Time list of The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) based on US sales. Her singles “Genie in a Bottle”, “What a Girl Wants” and “Come On Over Baby” topped the Billboard Hot 100 during 1999 and 2000
